Notes: Castello della Lucertola of the Lizard is an ancient fortification of the Ligurian town of Apricale, in the Merdanzio valley, in the province of Imperia. Already home to cultural events and annual exhibitions, the castle is also home to the "Museum of history of Apricale" where, among important documents and historical artifacts are preserved the famous medieval apricalesi statutes of 1267. The manor is placed in the historic village of the country, on a rocky spur overlooking the underlying saddle.
